Smallmouth Grunts
Haemulon chrysargyreum

Grunts prefer shallow waters, and congregate in schools around the protection of coral outcroppings.  They get their name from a particular sound they make underwater.

There are about 4,000 coral reef fish species worldwide, accounting for approximately 25% of all marine fish species. Less than 1/2 percent of marine habitats are protected, compared with 11.5 per cent of global land area.
